Summary: 

The Installation Manager is tasked with ensuring that projects installations are monitored and tracked to a level of completeness that will allow for modifications required to maintain project cost estimates as well as project schedules. This position will monitor installation percent of completeness and notify the Operations and Commissioning Manager when the installation stop-gate can be lifted and move the project into the commissioning phase. This position will also alert the Director of Projects to any shortcomings in the respective areas of responsibility. The Installation Manager will also be responsible for training I&C Technicians on how to review and modify equipment as required to achieve installation readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Projects, the Installation Manager will have the following responsibilities

  • Works closely with customers, project managers, vendors, and contractors concerning project details and project scheduling
  • Engages in continuous improvement efforts both at company headquarters and on project sites
  • Utilizes documentation of active project installations to convey status to the Director of Installation and Commissioning Services
  • Evaluates mechanical and electrical project installations and reports percent of completeness as compared to the project schedule
  • Works with project managers to ensure professional training of BHS systems to customer operational staff
  • Evaluates installation completion readiness to ensure projects are 100% complete prior to commissioning activities
  • Travels extensively (up to 80% at times) both domestically and internationally

Qualifications:

  • 3 years equipment background required
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics required
  • Experience with MS Project, Excel, Procore or similar project management software required
  • Ability to work effectively in assessing installation percent of completion
  • Positive with a can-do attitude; react well under pressure
  • High level of reliability and dependability required
