The Valve Automation Technician is responsible for the assembling and testing, as well as, the repair of Actuator Assemblies, and is responsible to train other Actuator Technicians.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain actuator/valve actuator assembly work cell.
- Inspect actuators and actuator assemblies.
- Assemble actuators.
- Assemble valve/actuators.
- Provide field service and support for products.
- Communicate with customers as required.
- Performrepairsandmaintenanceserviceworkinaccordancewithapproved.
- Apply knowledge of all phases of warranty/repair work and preventative maintenance within the manufacturing guidelines.
- Provide valuable input with regard to process improvements.
- Provide reports as required.
- Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent .
- Related certification(s) a plus.
- Additional technical training a plus.
- Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education.
Experience:
- Experience in valve/actuator assemblies.
- Experience in hydraulic testing.
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus
Desired Skills:
- Education, as described above, may be accepted in lieu of experience.
- Excellent organizational, time management, reading, and written and oral communication skills.
- Good technical capabilities with regards to fluid power.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Skills or abilities requirement.
