The Dry End Operator on the 3rd shift plays a critical role in the manufacturing process within the non-durable goods sector, ensuring the efficient operation of the drying and finishing equipment. This position is responsible for monitoring and controlling machinery that completes the final stages of product processing, guaranteeing that quality standards are consistently met. The operator will work closely with maintenance and quality teams to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during production, minimizing downtime and waste. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount to maintain a safe working environment and uphold product integrity. Ultimately, the Dry End Operator contributes to the seamless delivery of finished goods that meet customer expectations and company standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work the 3rd shift schedule reliably.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in non-durable goods manufacturing or similar industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with drying and finishing equipment or related machinery.
  • Certification in industrial safety or equipment operation.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor drying and finishing equipment to ensure continuous production flow during the 3rd shift.
  • Perform routine inspections and adjustments to machinery to maintain optimal performance and product quality.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to report and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Document production data, including machine settings, output quantities, and any deviations from standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
