Required Documents

Must be licensed or license-eligible or working towards licensure by the State of California as a Marriage Family Therapist (MFT), Marriage Family Child Counselor (MFCC), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Valid California driver’s license. CPR/FA certification Detailed Resume. NOTE: An incumbent in the job class of Mental Health Clinician I may be promoted to Mental Health Clinician II upon becoming fully licensed by the State of California and with approval of the Personnel Commission that the incumbent meets the minimum qualifications listed on the current class description of the higher job class.

Requirements / Qualifications

You're an excellent candidate for our Mental Health Clinician I position, if you have a passion for working with children, are energized by working in a fast-paced work environment, enjoy working in a team, and you possess the following qualifications and competencies: • Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, or mental health counseling; • A minimum of two (2) years post-masters experience providing mental health treatment services to children, adolescents, and their families. •Experience with K-12 students in a public school setting receiving special education services preferred.

Salary Info

MCH I, Range 40: $37.22 - $45.34/hr; MCH II, Range 46: $43.15 - $52.57/hr

Located in east San Diego County. The district is 66.3 square miles in size, and serves elementary students in grades K-8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas. Regardless of what our employees’ needs are, we meet them with the personalized attention only a caring school district can provide.
