Job Description Summary

Supply Chain Tactical Planner – Temporary (m/f/d), Schaftenau, Tyrol, Austria

As a Tactical Planner based at one of our largest European innovative medicines’ sites situated in the heart of Tyrol, you will play a key role in ensuring that the necessary resources are in place to support an agreed demand plan to satisfy key Novartis customer requirements. Your role will sit at the main interface between the site and its customers, and you will act as the primary point of contact providing supply plan visibility for the benefit of customers and while maintaining major Service Level Agreements. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely implementation of all Life Cycle projects while working closely with supply chain colleagues who will support you with their experience as you will support them with your forward-thinking input. Collaborating as one Novartis supply chain team, you will play a key role in ensuring that our patients receive the groundbreaking medicines that they need without delay.


 

Job Description

Main Accountabilities:

- Establishes optimal master production schedule for the tactical horizon from month 3 / 4 to 24 months, including Production volumes based on demand, rough cut capacity analysis and resources allocation resulting in anticipated operational costs and inventory levels
- Coordinates action plans to remediate to resources constraints and manages supply Key Performance Indicator reporting and analysis
Confirms supply orders, firmed production orders at the entry point of the time fence
- Leads action plans to achieve supply performance target and drives for continuous improvement
- Ensures that the customers have clear visibility of the current valid supply plan and monitor the delivery commitments in terms of quantities and timelines, in accordance with Service Level Agreements
- Manages backlog and back orders between the Site and customers/ next supply points and ensures direct communication with Customer/CMO/CMS -Organization and internal and external stakeholders
- Responsible for Monthly Demand Review Meeting (midterm horizon 3 to 24 months) incl. demand assumptions, recognizing trends, showing variances to last demand submissions, as input to Supply Review meeting and Monthly Business Review meeting within Sales & Operations process
- Manages demand control activities (short term -3/4 months, within the timeframe) and provides inputs to Master Planning Schedule and detailed scheduling


What you will bring to the role:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration or in Economics, or completed a professional training or qualification at either HAK or HTL
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Experience of providing excellent customer service as well as an ability to manage multiple and diverse stakeholders
- Previous exposure to business planning and knowledge of the business lifecycle  
- Precise and structured working style
- Quick at adapting to change combined with resilient personality
- Full working proficiency with Excel
