As our Operations Finance Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our Operations Finance team, ensuring smooth financial operations and contributing to our ambitious goals. This position offers a hybrid work schedule (three days onsite/two days remote) for candidates located in the Richmond, Virginia area.

Essential Functions

• Prepare invoices and credit memos with outstanding accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain and manage data structures for financial systems, including budget data manipulation, consolidation, and loading.

• Set up projects for billing and time tracking purposes, ensuring detailed execution.

• Research and resolve general inquiries regarding billing and data issues to maintain strict compliance standards.

• Ensure accurate approvals for documents, conduct audit compliance activities, and track changes in contract value.

Job Complexity

Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

Job Knowledge

Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

Supervision Received

Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.

Business Relationships

Contacts are typically with individuals within own department and occasionally with contacts outside own organization. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data requiring some explanation or interpretation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
  • Technical positions may require a certificate
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years).
  • In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel, Outlook and Teams

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and consolidate budget data.

• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial documents.

• Excellent communication skills to successfully implement solutions and resolve issues.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive team environment.

Salary Transparency

The salary range estimated for this position is $20-22/hr. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
