As an Account Manager – Emerging Sector, you will be responsible for driving sales and managing relationships within a specific sector or market segment in the region. Reporting to the National Manager – Emerging Sector, you will play a key role in executing business development initiatives, identifying customer needs, and ensuring revenue growth. The role requires strong sales acumen, relationship-building skills, and market knowledge to expand our presence in the sector while aligning with the company’s objectives.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Sales & Business Development:
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned sector.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
· Develop and implement sales strategies and pricing models tailored to the sector’s needs.
· Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements and service delivery.
· Negotiate and close deals to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
Market Research & Strategy Execution:
· Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
· Provide insights and recommendations to enhance sector-specific business strategies.
· Assist in developing sector-based sales plans in alignment with overall business objectives.
Customer Relationship Management:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
· Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to foster repeat business.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience and retention.
Reporting & Analysis:
· Track and analyze sales performance, revenue growth, and market penetration within the sector.
· Provide regular updates and reports on key metrics to senior management.
· Utilize CRM systems and data analytics to forecast sales trends and optimize strategies.
Compliance & Risk Management:
· Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.
· Identify and mitigate potential risks related to sales and client management.
The essential requirements of the job include:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the automobile or electronics sector.
· Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
· Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and execute effective sales strategies.
· Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-specific tools.
· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
