The Business Office Associate (BOA) for the Nursing Resource Department is responsible for handling clerical tasks and staffing coordination in the office. The office handles staffing needs for the hospital and coordinates coverage for nursing assistants and patient safety technicians by managing the department's schedule, reviewing staffing needs, and coordinating coverage between all departments. The BOA handles incoming phone calls and other communications, manages files, updates paperwork and other documents, and performs other general office clerk duties and errands. The BOA communicates regularly with business office supervisors and department manager regarding operational needs and collaborates and supports the nursing supervisors on manager off shifts.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Communicates correspondence with team and other departments as needed. Prepares and maintain follow-up of action items to meet deadlines.
2. Compiles information, data, and maintains updated and accurate spreadsheets for operations.
3. Initiates and composes routine correspondence regarding meetings, requests for maintenance, purchasing, telecommunications requests, general program inquiries, etc.
4. Maintains a favorable image by demonstrating courtesy, patience, persistence, sensitivity and tact while dealing with the general public, team members, and patients.
5. Establishes, maintains and revises record keeping and filing systems for retention of information in order to facilitate prompt and organized retrieval of information when necessary.
6. Assists in managing and maintaining multiple excel spreadsheets for distribution internally for organizational efforts as required.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
