KING 5 Media Group is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Sports Partnership Account Executive to join our team. This role is responsible for achieving or exceeding individual sales goals tied to our premier sports partnerships, including the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Kraken and NBC Sports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong digital advertising background and a proven track record of closing new business, particularly in the live sports streaming content space—both directly with brands and through agency relationships. Experience with linear TV, content sponsorships, digital, and OTT platforms like PREMION is essential.

As a key revenue driver, the Account Executive will:

• Generate new business opportunities with a focus on sports sponsorships and live sports campaigns across linear and streaming platforms.
• Act as a lead generator, identifying and engaging clients who can benefit from our full suite of advertising solutions.
• Serve as a strategic marketing consultant, helping clients define and achieve their business goals through customized, results-driven campaigns.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attain or exceed budgets across the multiple sports assets.
• Consistently prospect, present and close new revenue opportunities using client and category insights as it relates to Sports opportunities; specifically, the Seattle Kraken, Seattle Seahawks, Olympics,  Live Sports Streaming, and other key KING 5 Media Group sports partners.
• Upsell current clients by engaging them in the full product line of the KING 5 Media Group offerings.
• Create custom solutions-driven campaigns that meet client needs across multiple media platforms including broadcast, digital and Streaming (OTT – Over The Top).
• Seek opportunities to expand relationships with key clients by taking an active role in understanding their business needs and competitive landscape.
• Build compelling sales presentations and packages that utilize the full suite of KING 5 Media assets.
• Strategically utilize Matrix and station CRM to manage day-to-day activity, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Establish strong relationships with internal team members by providing the account management team with clear and concise direction for successful execution of campaigns.
• Utilize sales support resources to provide exceptional customer service and contract fulfillment.
• Positively and professionally represent the media group to the community at events, and network, host and entertain clients. Includes evenings and weekends

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a fast-paced sports-centric media environment.
• Proven track record of successfully achieving or exceeding sales goals and developing new business opportunities as a seller in sports media.
• Established knowledge of marketing solutions including broadcasting and digital advertising including audio and interactive, and be a perpetual learner, eager to continuously expand your knowledge.
• Prior working experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems, and ability to leverage technology to project manage workload and achieve goals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to proactively communicate with clients, co-workers, and vendors, and to write/edit compelling proposals.
• Possess a creative mind to put together unique campaigns focused on solving client needs with ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proven effective problem solver with ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong organization and time management skills.
• Self-motivation and a strong work ethic are essential attributes to be successful.
