Job Summary

Memorial Hermann is excited to announce the upcoming opening of Alvin CCC, a brand-new freestanding Emergency Department in the heart of Alvin. This is a unique opportunity to deliver safe, high-quality, and personalized emergency care in a small community setting--with the full support and clinical resources of the Memorial Hermann system.

We are seeking a supplemental Medical Technologist or MLT to join our team on Day shift.

Position will provide support one day per week including rotating weekends.

Schedule: 12 hour shifts, 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Must be ASCP or AMT certified.

Position responsible for performing and overseeing various laboratory tests/procedures as assigned.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in biological science (Equivalency Required for Foreign Education)

Licenses/Certifications: Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International), Certified CLS (ASCP), Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International)CM or ASCP Certification Eligible

ASCP Certification Eligible:

Bachelor’s degree in biological science AND

  • Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited MLS program within the last 5 years; or
  • MLT(ASCP) certification and two years of full time acceptable laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory** within the last four years; or
  • CLA (ASCP)  Certification and a bachelor’s degree in a biological science four years of full time acceptable experience in in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory** within the last eight years; or
  • Five years of full time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory** within the last ten years
