Description
About Chipr
At Chipr, we’re redefining how sales organizations partner with carriers and providers in the fiber internet and wireless space. We run national door-to-door (D2D), multi-dwelling unit (MDU), and managed service provider (MSP) programs with some of the largest carriers in the country.
Our mission is simple: bring smarter connectivity to homes across the U.S. through great service, trusted partnerships, and transparent results. To make it all work, our operations team is the backbone — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and trust between our sellers, leadership, and carrier partners.
We’re building a performance-based, ownership-driven sales culture, and that requires rock-solid commission accuracy. That’s where you come in.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an entry-level Sales Commission Analyst to join our Sales Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in accounting, business, or data analysis who’s ready to jump into a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You’ll be the bridge between raw sales data and accurate, timely pay for our reps and leaders. From reconciling carrier reports and processing payouts to creating dashboards and surfacing insights, you’ll play a key role in ensuring commissions are not only correct but also transparent.
If you love numbers, problem-solving, and building trust through accuracy, this is your launchpad into sales operations and compensation analytics!
What You’ll Do
Sales Commission Processing
- Partner with the Sales Ops team to build, test, and refine compensation calculators for various sales roles and programs.
- Validate sales orders against installs, cancellations, and chargebacks to ensure accuracy.
- Run commission calculations each pay cycle.
- Deliver finalized payouts to Finance for payroll processing, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Carrier Pay File Preparation & Ingestion
- Prepare, validate, and ingest carrier pay files into Chipr’s systems.
- Ensure all pay files and commission data from partners are accurately captured and mapped in Chipr’s database.
- Support the review and processing of weekly/monthly commission files from carrier partners.
- Process and track commission disputes with carriers, ensuring timely resolution and accurate adjustments
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Help maintain dashboards and reports (Looker Studio, Google Sheets, etc.) to give reps and leaders visibility into pay.
- Identify trends, errors, and opportunities in commission data.
- Partner with finance and operations leadership to provide insights on payouts, overrides, bonuses, and SPIFs.
Cross-Functional Support
- Respond to rep inquiries about commission calculations, adjustments, and policies.
- Build trust by helping sales teams understand how their pay is calculated.
- Support leadership in ad-hoc analyses for incentive programs, chargeback policies, and financial planning.
- Collaborate with Sales, HR, and carrier partners to ensure alignment on payout structures and timelines.
Perform all other relevant duties as assigned to support the success of the team and business.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, basic modeling).
- High attention to detail and a passion for clean, accurate data.
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience with SQL, Looker Studio, or BI tools.
- Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or commission tracking systems.
- Prior internship or coursework in compensation, payroll, or data analysis.
- Exposure to telecom, wireless, or channel partner environments.
