The Director, Enterprise Architecture is responsible for defining and managing the enterprise architecture strategy, framework, and roadmap to support business and technology goals. This role will align IT strategy with business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency of technology systems and processes. The director will oversee architecture standards, governance, and the integration of new technologies, enabling business agility and digital transformation.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in architecture principles, cloud technologies, application development, and infrastructure management with a proven track record of driving enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and governance framework.

  • Define current and target architecture states across applications, data, technology, and business processes.

  • Lead the creation of architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and reference models to guide technology initiatives.

  • Drive alignment of technology solutions with business goals, ensuring future scalability and performance.

2. Solution Architecture & Systems Design:

  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to design scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership and direction on large-scale projects, including cloud migration, application modernization, and data strategy.

  • Oversee the design and integration of enterprise systems, ensuring interoperability, data integrity, and performance.

  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools that align with the enterprise architecture strategy.

3. Technology Governance & Best Practices:

  • Establish architecture governance processes to standardize technology decisions and manage technical debt.

  • Develop architecture principles, design patterns, and guidelines to promote best practices.

  • Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of architecture solutions.

4. Innovation & Emerging Technologies:

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to assess their potential impact on the business.

  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to explore new technologies and validate architectural approaches.

  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the architecture team and broader IT organization.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Build and manage a high-performing team of enterprise and solution architects.

  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities for team members.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration between IT, business stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Advocate for architecture-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or IT Strategy.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing architecture teams and large-scale technology initiatives.

  • Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-level architectures in complex environments.

Certifications:

  • TOGAF, Zachman, or other enterprise architecture framework certifications preferred.

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) highly desirable.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud computing, microservices architecture, and API management.

  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and enterprise integration platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle).

  • Proficiency in architecture modeling tools and design methodologies.

  • Deep understanding of IT security, data governance, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex architectural challenges.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and executives.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Estimated base salary range: $137,600 - $196,550 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
