Job Summary
The San Mateo-Foster City School District if seeking a Child Nutrition Services Supervisor. Hours: 6:30 am - 3:00pm
DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direction of the Director of Child Nutrition Services, assists with the planning, directing, organization, implementation, and coordination of all aspects of the district Child Nutrition Programs to ensure that all students have access to nutritious and cost effective meals. Ensures the district is in compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, mandates, and health requirements. Ability to fill in for Director of Child Nutrition Services during times of absence. To perform a variety of professional level school nutrition and food service work; and to do other related work as directed.
The incumbent is responsible for planning and implementing recurring work assigned to site kitchens. The incumbent serves as a lead supervisor to Child Nutrition Services personnel and evaluate performance. In coordination with the Director, effectively recommends discipline or processes grievances. The incumbent is expected to develop methods and procedures and to solve problems encountered using independent judgment and the application of precedent, except where a deviation in policy, regulations, or departmental standards is involved. Most review of work by the department director is directed toward final outcomes and results.

Valid California driver’s license
Valid food safety certificate issued by an approved and accredited provider of a food safety
certification examination per California Health and Safety Code, Section 113947
Perform 10 hours of annual continuing education/training units as required by 7CFR210
