Garud Technology Services, Inc. (Garud) is seeking a seasoned and motivated Test Engineer with demonstrated experience to provide Test Automation support to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) PSPD and FSD. Candidates are expected to be focused and solution-oriented individuals who work well independently while working with a cross-functional team of experts.
The scope of work for the contract (which is for CBP PSPD and FSD) is two-fold: 1) supporting tasks that encompass Test Automation (which includes Section 508 automation), Performance & Load Testing, and Section 508 testing services for PSPD; 2) performing other testing services including Test Automation and other testing services for FSD.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies. Proficiency/Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks include: ACCELQ, Appium, Capybara, Cucumber, Expresso, JMeter, JUnit, Mobile Testing, Postman, Robot Framework, SoapUI, TestCafe, TestNG, Tricentis Tosca, UiPath Selenium WebDriver, XCTest. Load Performance Tools: JMeter, LoadRunner, Octoperf, Gatling, Locust, Neoload, WebLOAD, Taurus, BlazeMeter
- Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing.
- Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports.
- Serve as specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications. Should possess Strong analytical problem-solving skills for identifying, isolating, and debugging issues encountered during automated testing,
- Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection.
Education and Qualifications:
- An associate’s degree is required. BA/BS or MA/MS degree preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with test engineering methodology
- Knowledge and experience with automated testing tools.
- Three or more years of specific testing experience required.
Location: Work will be conducted customer location in Ashburn, VA or Lorton VA. Travel will be required for the position within the United States.
Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements:
- Applicants must have US citizenship and will need to successfully complete a Background Investigation (BI) prior to beginning work.
- Nothing in applicants’ history should prevent the candidate from obtaining DHS/CBP security suitability.
- An existing and currently valid CBP Public Trust or higher clearance is required.
