Your role
You love to design robust and easy to use APIs and services. You are a recognized mentor, leader, and strategic thinker, and are sought-after for technical guidance. You know how to architect large systems with multiple dependencies that can operate on a high scale. You know the best software is created through collaboration and iteration and you are looking for the right opportunity, and the right team, to expand your experience. You seek feedback as it can turn good work into great work. You like to ship software early and often; you value simplicity and strive to eliminate unnecessary complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical leader who embraces organization first thinking.
- Develop a solid understanding of the business model and use that to ensure that we build the right solutions for critical business problems.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA to iterate on the design, implementation, and deployment of our product.
- Understand the pros and cons of different testing methodologies and how to apply them across a codebase.
- Write clear and concise technical design documents and gather feedback from your team and the broader engineering organization.
- Multiplier who provides leadership and mentorship for engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
- Solve the most complex and highest impact problems within our backend systems.
- See the big picture within our large distributed systems and identify opportunities for meaningful improvements across the entire organization.
- Drive faster resolutions for critical issues.
- Seek different perspectives and solicit honest feedback.
- Take delight in delighting our users
- Care about our studio partners and want to help them grow their business.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Kotlin or Java
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Understand reliability and microservice monitoring best practices

Pay transparency
It is Mindbody’s intent to pay all Team Members competitive wages and salaries that are motivational, fair and equitable. The goal of Mindbody’s compensation program is to be transparent, attract potential employees, meet the needs of all current employees, and encourage Team Members to stay with our organization.
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
The base salary range for this position in the United States is $161,300 to $201,700. The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
