About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in advancing our central data platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the next level of maturity for our data infrastructure, focusing on implementing self-service capabilities and robust data governance, and enabling strategic business decisions. You will bring a problem-solving and data-oriented set of skills with deep technical knowledge of data treatment tools. What you'll find is:

What will you be doing?

• Work with internal technology teams to deliver key data engineering/analytics capabilities.
• Design, build, and support data-centric services, including, but not limited to, event streaming, ETL pipelines, and distributed data storage utilizing Airflow, Apache Beam, BigQuery, and DBT.
• Software engineering best practices to our data environment: testing and version control, CI/CD process in a GCP Cloud environment.
• Work with architects and technology leads to ensure a reliable, scalable, and robust architecture for our data environment. Improve, evolve, and make the company’s data warehouse scalable.
• Build and design a horizontal self-service platform to achieve good data governance.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Fluent in Spanish & English, both verbal and written. 
• Knowledge in programming languages like Python. 
• Experience with development best practices and tools.
• Experience with Streaming and Batch ingestion. 
• Experience with job orchestration tools like Apache Airflow. 
• Experience with SQL-like languages.
• Experience in data modeling and architecture with DBT or similar. 
• High degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively.

What will make you stand out?

• Experience working with GCP data technologies(Dataflow, Composer, BigQuery).
• Experience with analytical tools like Looker.
• Experience developing data tests and data quality. Analytics capabilities and Business acumen. 
• Experience working with Business Stakeholders to generate insights.
• Experience in Data Product development.
