Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 4 to 6 years

At E2open, Developers who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include requirements to actual code with high quality. You will work with the team in both India and USA to be part of the Design and Development of the data platform.

As a Tableau Developer, you will be responsible to create computer systems and data visualization solutions to improve business processes. This role will include tasks such as generating Tableau dashboard reports, creating business intelligence reports and visualizations, and work with developers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, conducts unit testing, and maintains complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
  • Verify data accuracy and consistency by working closely with data engineers and analysts.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Create technical designs, test cases, and user guides.
  • Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Collaboration with business stakeholders to comprehend their data requirements and offer solutions that meet them.
  • Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.
  • Ensure consistency by adhering to a set of software coding and style guides.
  • Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports.
  • Update Extracts on QA and Development Sites.
  • Run unit tests on QA and development sites.
  • Address any performance or data issues with workbooks and data sources.
  • Proficiency in SQL, understanding various databases (Aurora, DynamoDB, Oracle) and ability to design schemas to meet the requirements.
  • Knowledge on AWS
  • Ability to understand requirements and changes to requirements.
  • Strong communication skills

Experience
5+ years as a Tableau Developer

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with Tableau Desktop and Server.
  • Excellent knowledge of database concepts and extensive hands-on experience working with SQL.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Experience with data analysis, modeling, and ETL processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse and integration tools.
  • Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of workbook.
  • Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Tableau administrator/architecture.
  • High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows
  • Additionally, familiarity with the following tools: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Github, Jenkins.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
