Description - Shipping/Warehouse Manager
Coordinates the activities of the Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) at the Bickel’s, York, PA facility to ensure accurate record keeping of inventory, efficient storage and timely shipping of product.
Supervises: Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving)
- Coordinates the personnel and activities of the Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
- Communicates with appropriate personnel to ensure optimum customer service as well as accurate and timely exchange of information.
- Has the ability to bring strong leadership skills to the team and make decisions.
- Assists in the training of new personnel in the Warehouse (Shipping & Receiving) areas.
- Assists with the time management of employees and loading orders.
- Assists in administering Company policies and plant rules in order to promote effective employee relations and efficient performance.
- Required to maintain and have forklift experience.
- Required to have attention to details; making sure you are following customer BOL request.
- Responsible for ensuring the following safety requirements are met:
- Conducting safety orientation and safety training of employees
- Enforcing safe work practices
- Correcting unsafe conditions
- Preventing lingering unsafe and unhealthful workplace conditions or hazards
- Investigating workplace accidents
- Coordinates the receiving of materials and finished goods and maintains appropriate logs
- Responsible for the finished goods rotation: first in first out.
- Ensures adherence to all Plant, Regulatory and Corporate policies
- Reviews and approvals of all subordinate employee’s timecards on a weekly basis prior to submission to payroll
- Responsible for administration of food safety, legality, and quality/policies/procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as, but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, government guidelines/requirements, pre-requisite programs, quality systems, etc.
- Assist in keeping operations up to date with new techniques and/or developments within the areas of Inventory, Warehousing (Shipping & Receiving) functions
- Assists with implementing cost saving projects to increase efficiency and performance
- Assists with monthly cycle counts and data entry
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years in Warehousing (Shipping/Receiving) or related experience
- Knowledge of warehousing principles
- Ability to communicate with the work force as well as management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of plant operations, inventory, and warehousing (Shipping and Receiving) functions
