We are a closed-door pharmacy located in Greater Orlando, and we are seeking a General Manager who will manage our pharmacy operations as well as support our patient/client base for the pharmaceutical needs within long-term care settings and many others.

Opportunity:
- The role involves supervising daily operations, managing staff, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, finances, supervising pharmacists and technicians, managing budgets, and providing excellent safe dispensing of medications.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Operations management: Oversee all day-to-day pharmacy operations, from dispensing medication to customer service, ensuring the pharmacy runs efficiently and smoothly.
- Staff management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians. Create work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Financial management: Manage the pharmacy's budget, control inventory, monitor expenses, and work towards profitability goals.
- Inventory and stock: Ensure proper inventory levels and the safe storage of prescription drugs and controlled substances. Manage stock to prevent shortages.
- Compliance and safety: Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations. This includes the safe and effective dispensing of medications.
- Customer service: Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and build strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers.
- Administrative duties: Handle administrative tasks, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with other departments or healthcare providers as needed.
Working conditions
This is a salaried, exempt position. Regular in office hours are required Monday to Friday, with specific hours adjusted in accordance with the needs of the business. Evening and weekend availability will be required from time to time to successfully fulfill duties and responsibilities. Some travel will be required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Pharmacist with a minimum of 3+ years, closed-door pharmacy management experience, ideally supporting a long-term care client base.
- Current and active licensure as a pharmacist in good standing with the Florida state board of pharmacy.
- Minimum of 6 years of direct supervisory/management experience.
- Framework, LTC and Docutrack operating knowledge and experience preferred.
- Basic accounting and intermediate computers.
- Excellent problem solving and management.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
