Resources & Finance Administrator (Part-time)
Grade UE05, Salary range: £29,588 to £33,951 pro rata per annum
Part-time: 21 hours per week (0.6FTE)
Fixed term: 12 months contract
The Opportunity
The Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) is seeking an experienced administrator to assist with the provision of effective resource and finance support for ECA Business Operations, across subject areas, in compliance with UKVI, HR and University finance processes, policies and legislation over a 12-month period. This will be a broad flexible and dynamic role where the emphasis of duties will change on a regular basis.
The successful candidate will provide operational support to ECA subject areas, principally in preparation and processing of all aspects of casual and flexible payments such as GH, SPITY, forms 100, TAP; passing for authorisation and process as appropriate. The role holder will regularly liaise with Subject Area Administrators, the ECA finance team, other members of the ECA Resources team, UoE finance analysts and others as required.
Your Skills and Attributes for success:
- Experience of working with financial procedures and systems in a large, complex organisation.
- Demonstrable ability to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of a large organisation’s structure, processes and procedures with direct experience of working within a complex organisation.
- Well-developed organisational, time management and task prioritisation skills; ability to organise and prioritise own work and to work under pressure, with the initiative and judgement to resolve many day-to-day problems independently.
- Demonstrable communication skills in person, online and in writing.
- Good numeracy skills, accuracy and attention to detail, with an appreciation of the need for confidentiality.
