Compensation: $60,000–$85,000, based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilites 

• Deliver high-quality engineering design work accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

• Read and interpret data from field surveys, design locates, and other technical sources.

• Develop and review engineering drawings and basic P&IDs.

• Support permitting processes, HDD designs, and as-built documentation.

• Ensure project scope, schedule, and budget requirements are met for all stakeholders.

• Prepare technical reports, design plans, and other project documentation.

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and team members, maintaining clear and professional communication.

• Contribute to team and company goals through leadership, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.

• Stay informed on federal, state, and client requirements to strengthen your understanding of gas system design.

• Maintain target billable goals and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering environment

• Experience in natural gas pipelines or utility design preferred

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred

• Previous internship experience with Magnolia River is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Exposure to project types such as HDD Design, M&R Design, SCADA/Electrical Design, As-built projects, and hydrostatic pressure testing

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position involves a combination of office and field work, providing opportunities to see projects progress from concept through completion.

• Regular communication with clients and team members is required.

• Frequent use of computers and other office equipment.

• Occasional travel to project sites for inspection or data collection.

• Ability to identify colors, distances, and spatial relationships for design accuracy.
