Now Hiring: TCAT Maintenance Service Supervisor (Swing Shift)

Are you a natural team leader who thrives on getting people organized, motivated, and aligned with work goals?  We’re looking for a Maintenance Service Supervisor with the ability and aptitude to lead our evening shift with confidence and clarity.  In this role, your ability to coach individuals, follow through on performance expectations, and ensure work orders are completed according to operational priorities will be key to your success.  Prior diesel or heavy equipment experience is a plus, but not required!  If you’re ready to bring out the best in a team of techs and drive results in a safety-first, collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday
Team: 12 Technicians, 6 Handlers/Fuelers
Fleet: Gillig Diesel & Battery-Electric Buses

What You’ll Do

• Lead and support a team of technicians and apprentices on the swing shift
• Assign and prioritize repair and maintenance tasks across a diverse fleet
• Ensure compliance with NYS and federal transit maintenance regulations
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, service hours, and inventory
• Collaborate with the Parts Coordinator to keep our shop running smoothly
• Step up & step in for the Maintenance Manager when needed

What You Bring

• Collaborative growth mindset and a passion for teaching others
• Comfortable with computer systems (Excel, etc.)
• 1-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience (union experience is a plus!)
• 3 years of heavy equipment or diesel maintenance experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of diesel engines, drive trains, brakes, hydraulics, and electronic diagnostics preferred
• Safe driver record, eligible and willing to get CDL with endorsements
