- Provide short-and long-term strategic planning and leadership for all Rooms Division operations (front and back of house).
- Oversee Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Event Setup with a focus on colleague experience and service excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Rooms Division managers and team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Monitor labor costs and approve schedules to achieve departmental productivity goals.
- Conduct regular Rooms Division meetings and monthly financial reviews with subordinate managers and senior leadership.
- Coordinate major projects such as renovations, capital expenditures, and equipment upgrades.
- Manage departmental budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial performance aligns with hotel goals.
- Ensure the hotel maintains strong guest satisfaction scores through proactive service recovery and operational excellence.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through recognition, open communication, and team-building initiatives.
- Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures.
- Provide coverage for Rooms leadership shifts as needed.

The salary range for this position is $91,200 to $119,775. This is the pay range for this position that The Shay Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive Rooms Division leadership experience, including department head level experience in both Front Desk and Housekeeping (typically with Hyatt).
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, counsel, and inspire teams.
- Strong track record of colleague engagement, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, and a guest-centric mindset.
- Service oriented style with excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.
- Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish language skills a plus.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and strong organizational and administrative skills.
