Position: Licensed Social Worker – Mental Health Resource Specialist
Location: South Allegheny School District
Schedule: Full-Time | 10-Month School-Based Position
License Required: LSW

💼 What You’ll Do:

• Support students’ mental health needs and reduce truancy
• Provide therapy and support sessions (including IEP-based)
• Conduct assessments and crisis interventions
• Connect families with vital community resources
• Lead classroom presentations and staff trainings
• Facilitate transitions from hospitalizations or treatment programs
• Offer virtual support for cyber/Edgenuity students

• Active LSW license
• Passion for working with youth and families
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

 Qualified candidates must have a master’s degree in social work and be a Licensed Social Worker to be considered for the position.  All employees must provide a FBI Clearance, PA State Criminal Clearance, and a Child Abuse Certificate as well as the Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training certificate.
