Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade business intelligence solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and modern data architecture to support scalable, secure, and insightful analytics across the organization. This position blends hands-on development, data architecture design, and team leadership. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the organization, lead governance initiatives, and mentor junior developers — shaping the future of ACES’ analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Implementation

· Design and implement advanced Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.

· Build and optimize semantic data models using DAX and Power Query (M).

· Integrate data from diverse sources including Microsoft Fabric components (Warehouse, Lakehouse, Dataflow Gen2).

· Manage Power BI workspaces, access control, and versioning.

Data Analysis & Reporting

· Analyze complex datasets using SQL, KQL, or PySpark.

· Create interactive, user-friendly visualizations that support strategic decision-making.

· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting assets.

Collaboration & Leadership

· Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

· Collaborate with Data Engineering and AI teams to deliver cohesive analytics platforms.

· Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in BI development.

Governance & Optimization

· Implement and maintain Power BI governance, including security, version control, and documentation.

· Stay current with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric advancements, recommending improvements and innovations.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications:

· 8+ years of experience in enterprise BI development, with a strong focus on Power BI.

· Expert-level proficiency in DAX, Power Query M, and SQL.

· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Dataflow Gen2, Warehouse, Lakehouse).

· Skilled in Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Power Platform (Power Automate).

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-500 (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst).

· Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

· Familiarity with other BI/reporting tools.

· Experience delivering internal training or workshops.

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 25 pounds 

  • Direct work with clients may include, without limitation, the following physical demands: sitting, kneeling, squatting, running, twisting and turning, reaching above shoulders and/or frequent physical transitions
