What you'll do
• Wire & ACH Payments Processing
? Verify, and release incoming/outgoing Fedwire and ACH files.
? Activity related to International Wires.
? Complete required callbacks/dual control approvals and other necessary operational steps to monitor transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements to protect the bank and money movement.
? Monitor real-time queues for exceptions or anomaly hits and escalate per playbook.
• Check Processing (Remote Deposit Capture)
? Review daily remote deposit check submissions for image quality, potential alterations, and endorsement validity.
? Identify and escalate suspect or duplicate items; release valid items for posting within cut-off timelines.
• Deposit Banking Support
? Resolve bank/embedded partner and end-user questions on things like transfers, balances, holds, statements, research, and transaction status within SLA.
? Perform first-tier troubleshooting clients, partners, and internal stakeholders regarding payment inquiries, issues, and requests of any matter related to embedded banking issues; open tracking tickets.
• Reconciliations & Reporting
? Balance correspondent and settlement accounts daily; investigate breaks.
? Prepare volume, error-rate, and turnaround-time metrics for management dashboards.
• Process Improvement
? Proactively flag inefficiencies or control gaps and suggest fixes. Participate in retrospectives to refine cutoff times, staffing, or tooling.
• Work closely with other Payment and Deposit Operations employees to make sure daily money movement and tasks are completed correctly and on time.
• Report any suspicious activity to management for further review.
• Interact with Thread Bank partners to make sure tasks are completed correctly and expectations are clear.
• Review Embedded Partner post enrollment requests for limit increases and equivalent items.
Qualifications
• 1–3 years in banking, fintech, or payment-operations environment.
• Working knowledge of Fedwire, International Wires and NACHA rules (training provided).
• Comfortable with SaaS consoles (Unit, FBO ledger, core, ticketing tools).
• Intermediate Excel/Sheets; able to create pivot tables and reconcile large datasets.
• Strong written/verbal communication; concise incident notes are a must.
• Sense of urgency, ownership, and follow-through—especially under wire cut-off deadlines.
