Job Description

Scott Petroleum, a leader in the petroleum industry, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic/Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in light mechanic work. The Mechanic/Tire Technician will play a role in servicing customer vehicles and tire repair.

Responsibilities:

Light Mechanic Work:

• Perform routine maintenance on customer vehicles including oil changes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with customer vehicles.

Tire Repair:

• Perform task such as repairing flats, changing tires, tire rotations and balancing tires.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects efficiently.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of jobs performed on customer vehicles.
• Complete required paperwork, including work orders and service reports, promptly and accurately.

Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide support and guidance to junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
