Let's start with the role

The Know Your Customer (KYC) Department is an integral part of our Client Operations Division. As a Junior KYC Agent, you will play a crucial role in verifying and authenticating the identities of clients to mitigate risks related to fraud, money laundering, and other illicit activities. This involves meticulously reviewing and validating customer-provided documentation, conducting thorough background assessments, and ensuring diligent adherence to regulatory mandates.

As a Junior KYC Agent, you will:
  • Collect and analyze key information in accordance with the regulations of the competent auditing authorities;
  • Assist customers with the KYC process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience;;
  • Approve withdrawal requests concerning document verification;
  • Review and enhance previous data entries for accuracy;
  • Communicate with other departments to resolve related to customer identification or withdrawal;
  • Collaborate with team/shift leader and colleagues across various departments;
  • Handle and share sensitive information appropriately and confidentially;
  • Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws and regulations;
  • Address fraud alerts effectively;
  • Update and maintain the customer database.

What you'll bring:

  • Observation and attention to detail;
  • A customer-centric mindset with a focus on service orientation;
  • MS Office / Google Suite skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Prior experience in a back-office role (preferred but not required);
  • Strong critical thinking abilities and exceptional research skills;
  • Availability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
