Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is looking for an energetic student pursuing an Engineering or related STEM degree (Science, Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics) for a 2026 Summer Internship.
The selected candidate will be working with experienced professionals supporting the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program for the Missile Defense Agency.
What We’re Doing
Our C2BMC Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The Work
As a Systems Engineer Intern on the team, you will role supporting the Experiments Team doing engineering and analysis of a large missile defense experimentation lab on the C2BMC program. The selected candidate will be paired with more experienced engineers to design, implement, integrate, and test prototypes to further the development of C2BMC capabilities. Intern will be expected to work with mentors in developing their knowledge and skillset as needed.

Basic Qualifications
**Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government Secret security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. **
- Be enrolled in an Engineering or other related STEM degree such as Mathematics, Technology or Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Engineering, Robotics, Chemistry, Math or Physics through college courses or previous internships is required.
- Must possess good problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work as a member of a team in a dynamic, high-paced environment
- Be enrolled in an Engineering or other related STEM degree such as Mathematics, Technology or Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Engineering, Robotics, Chemistry, Math or Physics through college courses or previous internships is required.
- Must possess good problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work as a member of a team in a dynamic, high-paced environment

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $29,598 - $64,168. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
