The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for engaging with potential customers, handling inbound and outbound calls, and scheduling appointments for our sales team. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to overcome objections, and a results-driven mindset. As the first point of contact for many of our customers, the Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in shaping the customer experience and driving business growth.


Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Appointment Setting

  • Conduct outbound calls to warm leads generated through marketing campaigns, events, and online inquiries.
  • Handle inbound calls from potential customers, providing information and scheduling appointments.
  • Qualify leads and ensure they meet the necessary criteria before booking sales appointments.
  • Follow up with leads who have expressed interest but have not yet scheduled an appointment.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Engage with potential customers in a friendly, professional, and persuasive manner to build trust and rapport.
  • Clearly communicate the value and benefits of Expo Home Improvement’s services.
  • Address customer questions and concerns, providing accurate and helpful information.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Use proven sales techniques to overcome objections and convert leads into appointments.
  • Maintain a high level of enthusiasm and professionalism in every customer interaction.
  • Adhere to sales scripts, best practices, and company policies to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Track and report key performance metrics, including call volume, conversion rates, and appointment set rates.
  • Actively participate in training and coaching sessions to improve sales techniques and performance.
  • Provide feedback to management on lead quality and customer trends to improve marketing and sales efforts.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Inside Sales Manager and field sales team to ensure seamless lead handoff.
  • Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and strategies for improving performance.
  • Stay updated on company products, promotions, and industry trends to better serve customers.




Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in sales, telemarketing, or call center environments, preferably in home improvement or a related industry.
  • Strong ability to build rapport, actively listen, and engage customers in a consultative manner.
  • Excellent verbal communication and persuasive sales skills.
  • Ability to handle objections confidently and guide potential customers toward scheduling an appointment.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and call tracking software is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
