We’re on the lookout for a Motion Design Manager to lead everything that moves within the Screwfix Marketing Studio. Reporting to the Senior Creative & Digital Manager, you’ll guide a talented team to bring our brand and campaigns to life through animation, film, and visual storytelling.

This role blends creative direction, hands-on design, and team leadership. You’ll collaborate closely with Creative, Marketing, Social, and Campaign Managers to develop stand-out motion assets, and with the Studio and Traffic teams to make sure every project runs smoothly from start to finish.

You’ll combine creative flair with operational discipline, ensuring our motion content is not just engaging but consistently delivers against business goals. From social and digital screens to in-store and online, you’ll shape how customers experience the Screwfix brand in motion.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and mentor a team of motion designers, creating a culture of innovation and excellence
• Oversee delivery of high-quality animation and video assets across campaigns, digital, and in-store channels
• Manage workflow, priorities, and deadlines with the Studio and Traffic teams
• Collaborate with Marketing, Social, and Campaign teams to develop impactful motion content
• Review and approve final animations, ensuring strong storytelling and technical accuracy
• Create and maintain motion style guides for consistency across all digital platforms
• Stay ahead of motion trends, tools, and techniques to keep Screwfix’s content fresh and relevant
• Partner with agencies and vendors when needed, maintaining brand quality and functionality

Bonus points for:

• Experience with HTML5, Adobe Animate or Lottie animation
• Knowledge of 3D modelling and animation (Cinema 4D, Blender)
• Understanding how motion content drives engagement and marketing performance
