P&C Accounting has an immediate opening for a reinsurance accountant. This role is responsbile to provide knowledge and experience in both assumed and ceded reinsurance accounting and to design and manage IT projects within the department.
The pay range for the associate accountant position is $60,000 - $65,000 annually. The pay range for our accountant position is $65,000 - $70,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance
Be ready to:
- prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reinsurance ceded and assumed closings
- complete accounting, administration, and regulatory reporting of the reinsurance portfolio
- making decisions and recommendations for varied situations applying judgment to interpret related information, policies, and procedures
- work with other internal and external organizations or parties frequently which may include persuasion and negotiation skills
- ensure all task and project deadlines are met accordingly
- perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
