Position Summary:
The Media Lead is responsible for leading the team of videographers, video editors, and photographers who create and capture visual content to support the mission and ministries of Athey Creek. This includes overseeing the planning, production, and post-production of video and photo projects for weekend services, events, promotions, social media, and other ministry needs. The person in this position should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain a consistent visual identity across all media, and ensure that every piece of content aligns with Athey Creek’s brand and vision. The Media Lead is also responsible for coaching, mentoring, and training the Media Team. The candidate should be proactive, collaborative, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced ministry environment while balancing leadership and hands-on creative work.
Qualifications:
- Agree to ACC’s doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in the What We Believe/Vision statement.
- Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in the Scriptures.
- 4 years of working experience in video production, photography, or related media fields.
- Portfolio demonstrating video or photography experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom) and related media software.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, sound, and storytelling principles.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Coaching, mentoring, and training abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under tight deadlines.
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and have a heart for service.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- An aptitude for creative problem-solving.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Communications Director to plan, direct, and oversee all video and photo projects from concept through completion.
- Lead and mentor videographers, editors, and photographers, providing creative direction and feedback.
- Capture and produce high-quality video and photo content for weekend worship services, events, social media, and other ministry initiatives.
- Oversee post-production workflows to ensure all deliverables are polished, consistent, and on brand.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Graphic Design teams to maintain a cohesive visual voice across all media platforms.
- Develop and maintain organized media libraries, project files, and asset archives.
- Create and implement best practices for video production, photography, and editing workflows.
- Manage production schedules, deadlines, and team assignments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Recruit, oversee, and train volunteers involved in media production and event coverage, providing support and mentorship.
- Stay current with trends in video production, photography, storytelling, and technology to enhance creative output.
- Provide media support for live events, special projects, and other ministry needs.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and special team meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
