Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for MLCC new installed automation line, process development, equip maintenance and debug.
- Responsible for creating MLCC Mylar caster, printer, blanker, stacker machine program, key process parameters set up, SPC control, process window DoE, machine debug and Process documentation.
- Work with other process and equipment engineer to support process flow, analyze data to identify root causes of failures, and opportunities for process optimization. Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
- Ability to interpret cap test results and correlate them with physical assembly defects or process deviations.
- Train technicians and junior engineers on automated equipment operation, and safety protocols. Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.
- Oversee daily engineering support to manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, throughput, and cost reduction.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Semiconductor Industry, prefer to have background of cleaning room experience with automated machine program, process window and parameter set up, machine debug and fix.
- Hands-on experience with capacitor assembly processes preferred, including electrode stacking, sintering, termination, screen printer, blanker, stacker, press, dispensing, AOI, TnR, CSAM.
- This position will require to work from 12:00pm to 8:00pm to support 2nd Shift Production.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers or technicians.
- Understanding of ceramic capacitor or electronic component manufacturing processes.
- Excellent data analysis, DOE, SPC and lean manufacturing skills.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting pay for this role is targeted to be between $90,000 and $120,000 per year.
Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company. It is to be expected that candidates will come to us with different sets of skills and experiences and therefore will be paid at different points in the stated range.
