About the Department

Responsible for overseeing student accounts and managing all related tasks, paperwork, and required 
documentation necessary to fulfill assigned duties.


Position Duties

1. Records student charges
2. Prepares and distributes receipts for students and third-party payers
3. Processes awards from Financial Aid office
4. Calculates and disburses financial aid refunds
5. Verifies accuracy of student account balances
6. Reports delinquent accounts to the appropriate parties
7. Mails account statements to students
8. Receives funds and posts receipts into computer system daily
9. Attends to Business Office window
10. Administers eBook processing procedures
11. Maintains and monitors housing application EFT payment records
12. Reconciles cash drawer and prepares deposits daily
13. Assists in registration/orientation: calculates student fees, authorizes bookstore credits, 
etc.
14. Authorizes and monitors payment plans
15. Submits invoices and maintains other accounts receivable from tuition assistance, Vocational 
Rehab, WIOA, employers, industry, etc.
16. Distributes work-study payment information
17. Assists with transmittal of financial aid
18. Performs general office tasks such as responding to account inquiries and operating standard 
office equipment
19. Performs additional tasks as required


Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Associate's degree required
Skills:
Five (5) years of relevant experience, preferred; Two (2) years of experience, required Work 
Experience:
Includes the required number of years of documented experience in a comparable or related position.
