About the job
The project is an exciting and complex software implementation project for an international enterprise in the energy sector (Power plants and grids). The goal of the project is to build a digital Twin in the area of virtual power plants in order to reduce carbon emissions and optimize power generation. The backend solution is segregated into multiple microservices (mostly python based). Experiences with time series data / sensor data and relational databases are a big plus. API for the frontend is using JSON API. You will work closely with a very experienced tech lead and a Scrum Team of experienced developers. We will help you with the ramp-up and coach you throughout the project. Project Duration: Until Sept 2025 (Extension likely) Project Location: remote (occasional workshops in Berlin possible) Project Setup: Agile software development with international stakeholders and implementation team (including USA, Germany, India, Romania, Hungary) Contract type: Freelance as well as employment contract are possible. Excellent programming skills are most important for us. Frameworks can be learned. Strong python experience is of course a very big plus. Skills and experience are not everything to us. It is equally important that you are enthusiastic about work (if the project is interesting) and are fun to work with. :-) We strongly prefer candidates in the European time zone as you need to align as well with the United States, Europe and India. Your closest counterparts are located in Germany, Poland and Romania and Hungary.
