BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB AND PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
· Plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes for CNC Machines, Brake Press, and Welding.
· Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
· Plan equipment layout, material flow, and safety measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities.
· Assists in implementation of company initiative to remain ISO9001 compliance.
MAIN DUTIES (LIST DETAILS):
· Develops weld, machining and fabrication tooling and processes for new or revised weldments.
· Develop CNC programs for manufacturing (machining, forming, plasma, etc.)
· Facilitates prototype manufacturing and run offs for new products.
· Facilitate and track ECN implementation at the local manufacturing facility.
· Communicate effectively with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, etc. to facilitate production processes.
· Develops and maintains routings, costing and bills of material in an ERP system utilizing time studies, standard data and other estimating tools.
· Update and maintain production job travelers for fabrication and welding.
· Assist R&D in product fit-ups and prototyping, as well as travel as needed.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Works in non-climate controlled factory, and in climate controlled office.
· Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Strong background in metal fabrication processes - plasma cutting, CNC machining, brake press, robot welding.
· Must be proficient utilizing 3D modeling software (Solid Edge, Creo, Pro/E ..)
· Machining programing experience using MasterCam or similar system.
· Experience with Sigma Nest or other plasma/laser nesting software.
· Knowledgeable of basic concepts, principles, practices, and established manufacturing procedures.
· Knowledgeable of OSHA laws and regulations
· Knowledgeable of ISO9001 requirements.

EDUCATION/ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering with three to five years experience. Five plus years salaried engineering experience in metal fabrication manufacturing environment in lieu of degree.
· Previous experience in Health and Safety and ISO9001 requirements helpful.
