Description
- This position tests & maintains gas meters, regulators and relief valves, RTU & SCADA equipment and related communication equipment, valves and valve operators and gas filters in a manner to meet the customer’s operational needs while ensuring compliance with partnership and regulatory requirements
- Assists with new meter installations, preventative maintenance, and field solutions for measurement related problems in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures
- Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination. Adheres to company standards of documentation
- Performs plate changes and general upkeep of the end devices
- Collect gas samples in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines
- Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
- Coordinates with the customers Measurement Department and Production Department as required and provides support for gas volume discrepancies. Assists in volume recover by providing information
- Performs other duties as assigned by customer and/or the company
- Participate in partnership safety program and initiatives
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various types of measurement equipment
- Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
- Basic Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Email, etc.)
- Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and MVR/background check
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API and GPA requirements and procedures
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills to interface with customer base
- Basic Configuration, Calibration & Testing of the following EFM’s:
- Total Flow: 1 year
- ROC: 1 year
- Lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Driving, walking, standing frequently
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
