JOB TITLE: Product Intern (In-office/Hybrid)

EMPLOYER: Topo Designs, Denver CO

REPORTS TO: VP of Product

 

SUMMARY:

Topo Designs is seeking a Product Intern with a strong interest in softgoods design or development to support our Product team across apparel, accessories, and bags. This internship offers exposure to the full product lifecycle and is well-suited for students pursuing degrees in Product Design, Development, or Merchandising.

You’ll assist in both creative and operational aspects of the seasonal product process—from research and sample coordination to assortment maintenance and team collaboration. This is a hands-on, team-integrated role built for someone who wants to learn by doing.

HOURLY RATE: $19.29/hr. 

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 12 weeks

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to commit 32 hours per week for 12 weeks
  • Ability to commute to the Denver office 3 days per week at minimum

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Product Design, Development, or Merchandising
  • Familiarity with softgoods and/or apparel construction is a plus 
  • Interest in the outdoor industry is preferred

 

POSSIBLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Partner with Design, Merchandising, and Development teams on day-to-day tasks 
  • Assist in maintaining seasonal assortment overviews and line planning tools
  • Support design research, trend tracking, and competitive analysis
  • Help organize and manage product samples and reference materials
  • Participate in in-person garment fittings and design reviews
  • Assist in color and print approvals
  • Support Marketing and Sales team events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to understand priorities and workflow
  • Written and verbal communication skills 

 

FAMILIARITY:

  • Google Drive
  • Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Backbone or PLM system is a plus

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently required to sit, stand and walk
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually required to talk or hear
