The Arc of Cumberland and Perry Counties (CPARC) is seeking a passionate, innovative, and experienced Director to lead our Community Fusion programs. This individual will oversee all aspects of Community Fusion - ensuring high-quality, person- and family-directed services that promote community inclusion, volunteerism, citizenship, and personal growth for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight to ensure efficient and smooth program operations.
Foster positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and community partners.
Ensure person-centered planning and quality service delivery for all program participants.
Implement and monitor risk management strategies that support participant health and safety.
Oversee compliance with all agency, state, and federal regulations, including HCBS and Chapter 51.
Supervise the Associate Director and ensure staff are trained, supported, and accountable.
Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets.
Maintain program documentation in accordance with Department of Human Services, ODP, and Chapter 2380 requirements.
Serve as the Incident Manager for Community Fusion programs and prepare required reports.
Oversee hiring, performance, and professional development of program staff.
Support innovative service delivery through communication systems, visual strategies, and positive behavior supports.
Maintain current Certified Investigator status and conduct investigations as required.
Oversee participant admissions and discharges.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and provide support during emergencies.
Represent the program at internal and external meetings, committees, and professional trainings.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of direct experience providing services to adults with intellectual disabilities.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a Department of Human Services (DPW) licensed program.
Experience working with families of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Knowledge: Familiarity with DPW/ODP/ID service systems, HCBS, and Chapter 51 regulations.
Preferred: Background in communication systems, positive behavior supports, Everyday Lives principles, and budget management.
Other Requirements: Excellent communication and leadership skills; valid Pennsylvania driver's license required.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $56,679
