The Recipe for Success:

Under general supervision, you perform a variety of accounting tasks related to Finance. You report to the Manager of General Accounting.  As a member of the Le Creuset Finance & Accounting team, you are instrumental in identifying and communicating financial areas of both opportunity and concern.  You play an integral role in the company’s success as you are instrumental in ensuring the month-end close and daily transactions are reported and posted accurately.  You work well with all departments and channels, most specifically Finance, Logistics, and Group teams. You are committed to excellence – continually striving to process and present information in more effective and efficient manners.  You can seamlessly integrate information from multiple departments, channels and levels to ensure expenses are posted correctly and details are readily available should questions arise.  You embody professionalism and genuinely demonstrate a willingness to contribute.

 

What's on your daily menu? 

Your daily activities will include:

  • Updating inter-company payables related to inventory and non-inventory transactions.
  • Reconciling and monitoring freight charges related to inventory receipts
  • Perform weighted average cost adjustments as needed
  • Review cycle count reports created by the warehouse and report any large adjustments
  • Add, dispose and transfer company fixed assets as needed. Create monthly depreciation and disposal journal entries. 
  • Post month-end journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and inter-company accounts.
  • You will also be a vital resource during interim and year end audits. 

 

    The Perfect Blend: Your Ingredients for Success:       

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
  • 2 or more years of experience in an accounting environment a plus
  • Organizational Skills required
  • Knowledge of how to create, post and reconcile journal entries
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and computer systems preferred.  Strong excel skills is required and pivot table knowledge is a plus
  • Effective Time Management
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking ability required to include investigating and explain general ledger transactions
