Position Summary
Position is responsible for the design and development of magnetic components, assemblies and systems. Evaluates and troubleshoots magnetics related issues with customer and in-house projects. Performs magnetics research in support of business objectives.

• Engineer and design magnetics solutions using appropriate empirical, analytical, and numerical calculations, algorithms, and computer modeling software to analyze initial concepts and to iteratively modify such concepts in order to optimize design.
• Ability to communicate and provide magnetics expertise to; suppliers, customers, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales.
• Assist engineering colleagues with reviews of magnetic requirements on customer and in-house prints.
• Assist with and/or leads in the selection of equipment and computer hardware and software to support magnetic design, analysis and measurement.
• Performs magnetics research in support of business objectives.
• Assist in the development of patent applications for designated proprietary technology.
• Takes responsibility for continuing technical and professional self-education, including attendance at engineering and scientific seminars and conferences.
• Work to meet your personal engineering KPIs. Monthly, investigate and provide root cause analysis when KPIs are not met. Implement approved corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as required.
Salary Range: $82,000-$92,000 + bonus
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering or similar science or engineering discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of magnetic materials and applications a plus.
• Basic understanding of a wide range of magnetic circuit applications and systems.
• Published multiple papers with magnetics focus.
• Understands policies, practices, technology, trends and information and how those affect the business; including written communication.
