Position Summary:
Ethnix Group seeks a seasoned DSD (Direct Store Delivery) Sales Manager to oversee direct store delivery operations, focusing on maximizing sales growth, enhancing product freshness, and ensuring quality and profit growth through continuous improvement. The role involves strategic management of route sales and direct leadership of the DSD team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Lead the execution of DSD route sales, focusing on superior product placement and merchandising to optimize sales performance.

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets, enhance customer relationships, and expand business with new and existing accounts.

Manage daily distribution, order management, and promotional activities to meet in-store expectations and drive market presence.

Identify and pursue opportunities for route expansion and new market penetration.

Analyze sales data and market trends to develop strategies for route optimization, increased efficiency, make informed decisions, enhancing brand visibility and securing new product placements.

Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of route changes and expansions.

Develop and maintain effective customer relationships to secure client retention and satisfaction. Manage accounts receivable within company policy.

Maintain rigorous control over inventory, freshness, and labor costs to meet controllable expense targets.

Conduct market research to identify prospective clients and understand their needs and preferences.

Develop and present compelling sales proposals and pitches to prospective clients

Support route productivity initiatives to optimize team efficiency.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, including training, coaching, and performance feedback to enhance skills and business results.

Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and recognition to ensure continuous improvement.

Utilize sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Partner with Human Resources and assist during recruiting/ re-employment of the team.

Cross-departmental collaboration to improve communication and business performance.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and lead initiatives to maintain zero workplace injuries.

Organizational Responsibilities:
Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s).
Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Company, warehouse, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to appropriate individual(s).
Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve the site's efficiency, profitability, and productivity.
Keeps abreast of current changes in technology, logistics tools, processes, and standards within the industry and area(s) of responsibility by attending internal and external training programs and by accessing other sources of information, and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility.
Work Hours (may vary by state or location):
This position is scheduled for 40 hours in a regular work week. Hours of operation vary by site and shift. Must be available to work on weekends when scheduled and must be able to perform the essential job functions unaccompanied. Travel is required up to 25% of the time.
Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field preferred, with a solid foundation in DSD systems and customer relations.

At least 3-5 years of experience in a sales management role, with direct experience in DSD preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a sales team, with at least 6 months in a supervisory capacity.

Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of a sales and marketing platform, internet, and CRM platform background sufficient to resolve customer complaints and issues and complete financial records, documents, and reports. Education bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
Language Ability:
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to comprehend and complete documents, and answer questions in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as needed. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Math Ability:
Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages to complete daily settlements, reports and inventory audits and other reporting information. Strong mathematical skills for financial record-keeping and inventory audits.
Reasoning Ability:
Demonstrated ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, TEAMS, and spreadsheet management programs in order to complete required reports and employment documents. Proficiency and fluency in using the internet.
Certificates and Licenses:
Current valid driver’s license is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position holds significant supervisory responsibilities, including team leadership, performance management, and recruitment.
Work Environment:
The role involves a combination of office work and field supervision. The candidate must be capable of handling physical activities associated with store visits and merchandise handling.

Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to fifty (50) pounds independently and one hundred and fifty (150) pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Routine, local travel may be required to attend training classes, conduct market research, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
