The individual will play an integral role in identifying and executing buyside and sell-side, public and private, domestic and cross border M&A and Capital Markets transactions. The individual will work directly with the Group Heads and receive considerable responsibility throughout the course of each project, playing an integral role in each phase of an assignment, from the conceptual stages through completion.  Along with other professionals, the successful candidate will also have responsibility to maintain certain M&A/Capital Markets related materials to be utilized in pitching assignments or on executing deals as needed.

This position is based in our Boston office with a hybrid schedule (optional WFH Mondays & Fridays).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist in the execution of M&A and Capital Markets deals, and support account coverage with some primary coverage responsibilities with corporate executives, financial sponsors and influencers 
  • Perform financial valuation, discounted cash flow, pro forma merger, precedent transaction, and comparable companies analyses 
  • Supervise analysts 
  • Prepare pitch books and live deal materials, including memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and prospectuses 
  • Analyze detailed corporate and financial information, as well as conduct due diligence 
  • Develop client relationships through deal execution, pitching, and primary/support coverage 

Qualifications:

  • College degree in related field with 0-2 years in investment banking or accounting consulting 
  • A critical thinker who can quickly evaluate and analyze companies and financial information 
  • Excellent financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytic aptitude and creativity 
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work on a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
  • Resourceful self-starter; able to work autonomously
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Candidates must be proficient in all MS Office applications - PowerPoint, Excel and Word 
  • It is expected that new analyst or associate hires will commit to at least two years with the firm, subject to performance and with opportunities to advance well beyond that
