Reporting to the Financial Services Director, the Financial Services Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the commodity pricing data base, counter-party credit, and commodity net-back financial analysis for the trade teams. This is an entrusted position of significant responsibility providing the primary interface between Marketing and Treasury.  You will play a critical part in setting strategic financial insights with business development goals, enabling data-driven decisions that fuel growth, optimize asset utilization, and support innovative marketing initiatives. With a focus on price forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling, you will help shape the future of marketing.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and manage financial plans, budgets, and commodity price forecasts for marketing activities, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and market conditions
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to structure and assess commercial agreements, credit instruments, including pricing models, supply contracts, and trading strategies
  • Deliver timely and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making, track marketing performance, and identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimization
  • Monitor financial risks related to commodity markets, credit exposure, and regulatory compliance, ensuring robust controls and adherence to internal policies
  • Foster a culture of growth by mentoring team members, identifying skill gaps, and implementing development plans to build financial acumen and leadership capabilities within the department
  • Serve as a strategic financial partner to marketing leadership, working closely with trading, logistics, legal, and treasury teams to drive integrated, value-focused decisions

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional designation (CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, or commercial finance, ideally within the energy, commodities, or industrial sectors
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, including pricing mechanisms, trading dynamics, and supply chain economics
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis, with expertise in Excel and financial planning tools (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Power BI)
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial insights to non-financial stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions across cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to talent development, including mentoring junior staff, fostering team growth, and building financial capability within the organization
