Position Summary: 

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building and machine maintenance tasks. This position will perform building and machine maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g., machine guarding, machine maintenance/repair, carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, compressed air, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.); Manage PM Software System, Support EHS, and ISO requirements; Perform general cleaning. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Management of waste vendors and maintenance contractors 
  • Manages the Preventive Maintenance program.
  •  Conduct Lockout/Tagout and Machine Guarding Training
  • Maintain AC electrical distribution systems up to 480V 3 phase and AC/DC controllers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the following equipment but not limited to; boilers, chillers, air handlers, air compressors / dryers, fork trucks, pumps, environmental control systems, etc.
  • Read, utilize and/or maintain blueprints, manuals, machine specs, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and shop equipment.
  • Manage the facility’s Preventive maintenance and Predictive maintenance programs both manual and automated.
  • Perform the prescribed preventive maintenance as required.
  • Perform tasks in a timely manner with limited call backs.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and promote good housekeeping / 6S practices.
  • Actively support Lean / Kaizen initiatives and programs
  • Understand, support, and contribute to current STANLEY Healthcare Quality and Environmental systems by following the stated policies and procedures.
  • Assistance in LOTO and Machine Guarding documentation.
  • Assistance in aspects of Safety and Preventative Maintenance Training  
  • Assistance in EHS Compliance Assurance Program
  • Maintain active role in Safety Committee
  • Assistance in 6S and EHS initiatives
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5 years industrial maintenance experience with technical degree, or 10 years’ experience with working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V 3 phase
  • Familiar with plumbing and construction methods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to coach / instruct others.
  • Ability to perform manual labor in a variety of conditions.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced training / certifications
  • Valid electrical license
  • Proficient with CAD software
  • Valid driving license and clean record
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
