Weiser Memorial Hospital is seeking a flexible and dependable full-time Emergency Department Technician to provide support to our ED team. This position is full-time working nights with variable days to be worked. This role works under the supervision of RNs and physicians, assisting in direct patient care, documentation, and maintaining a safe clinical environment. Perfect for someone seeking a dynamic role with flexible scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the intake and admission of emergency patients
- Collect and document vital signs, notify RN of abnormal readings
- Support the care team with procedures, transport, and patient mobility
- Collect specimens and assist with basic clinical tasks
- Maintain clean treatment areas and prepare rooms between patients
- Enter and manage information in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence with patients, families, and staff

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Idaho CNA license required
- Current BLS certification required
- EMT license or relevant experience in emergency care; must enroll in EMT or nursing program within one year of hire
- IV certification within 3 months of hire
- Completion of basic arrhythmia course within one year of hire
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
Preferred:
- One year of experience in an acute hospital or EMS setting
- Advanced EMT license
- Enrollment in or completion of a nursing program
