As we continue to grow here in North America, we are looking for (2) Liability Claims Specialists (m/f/d). This opportunity can be based in either our Alpharetta, GA or O’Fallon, MO field offices.
Your Team
You will be working with a small but diverse team of claims professionals of various experience levels and backgrounds, in a collegial and supportive atmosphere that values individual strengths and encourages professional development and participation in industry leadership.
The Impact You Will Have
The Liability Claims Specialist will proactively investigate, negotiate, and resolve assigned Commercial Liability and Commercial Auto claims, in accordance with established best practices and assure claims are handled within granted autonomy limits. You will also develop and maintain relationships with customers and brokers as well as internal business partners. The Liability Claims Specialist will also provide efficient claims handling within team while working with third-party service providers in achieving economical results and to provide high quality service to all internal and external relationships.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Investigating claims that involve complex liability issues on domestic and multinational claims.

Inputting and maintaining accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate AzC Claims administration systems.

Evaluating and addressing coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels.

Negotiating and resolving high exposure, complex claims ensuring cost effective, service orientated solutions.

Supporting, training, developing and coaching of less experienced staff.

Ensuring all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AzC Claims complex procedures and guidelines.

Referring cases outside of authority level, preparing referral documentation and materials as appropriate.

Supporting establishment of claims management procedures on new business accounts in association with clients, brokers and loss adjusters

Management of external counsel in performing coverage analysis and resolution strategies. On litigated claims this would include development and implementation of defense strategies. This would include selecting and directing those independent external service providers (e.g., Lawyers, Independent Adjusters, Experts).

Supporting acquisition of new business and retention of existing business.

Traveling to mediation’s, court matter’s.

Attending claim reviews/site inspections
What You’ll Bring to the Role
-
7-10 years handling high value complex commercial claims, exhibiting complex coverage and liability/damage issues.

7-10 years Multi-state and global claims handling experience
-
7-10 years Mass tort and class action claims handling experience
-
Extensive claims handling experience including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and disposition involving complexity.

7 to 10 years of account management and account audit experience
-
Field investigations vendor management experience
-
College degree or equivalent work experience
-
Insurance related education - IIA, CPCU, Associate in Claims, Claims Law

Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.

Marketing and/or public relations experience
The annualized base pay range for this role is $98,100 - $169,800. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
