Job Summary

The Technical Product Owner within the Health Plan Systems group of Jefferson Health’s IS&T department plays a key role in defining scope and features, facilitating prioritization, and driving delivery of the consolidation, integration, and optimization roadmap for clinical data acquisition. This role supports various platforms and products, including Epic’s Payer Platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product or project management, and a passion for improving healthcare through innovative solutions.

Essential Functions

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap: 
    • Work with business stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of product vision and strategy for clinical data acquisition ensuring alignment with Jefferson Health Plans’ goals and objectives.
    • Define scope and features for the consolidation, integration, and optimization roadmap of Member Experience Enablers.

  • Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the needs of stakeholders and the application teams.

    • Facilitate prioritization of tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-impact features.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including operations, IT, and quality, to gather requirements, understand needs, and ensure successful product delivery.
    • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure effective communication and understanding of platform requirements
  • Documentation & Training: 
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation and provide training to end-users and stakeholders as needed.
    • Ensure knowledge transfer and support for ongoing platform maintenance.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):

  • Knowledge of Epic Applications (Payer Platform) and clinical data acquisitions programs and tools
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree

AND

Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in product or project management, or a related area

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

  • Epic applications (preferred)
  • PMP (preferred)
