We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Rack Team Lead.  This position reports to the 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor and will work in Litchfield.

As the Rack Team Leader you will lead the daily operations within the Rack area in Building 2 to ensure accurate and timely processes of all orders with maximum efficiency.  Provide coaching assistance to the team members while maintaining all company policies and procedures.

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform team lead functions that may include; but not limited to:
  • Partnering to ensure all picking deadlines and priority cut-off times are met.
  • Reviewing daily pick errors with pickers.
  • Identifying special instructions on pick tickets to comply with customers’ requirements.  
  • Responsible for assisting to locate product to prevent backorders.  
  • Continuously develop direct reports by coaching and grooming them for excellence.  
  • Document progress and ensure associates are cross-trained to provide adequate coverage in key processes.  
  • Assisting with the evaluation of employee performance, maintaining an environment of respect and accountability to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.  
  • Tracking and maintaining productivity standards and assessing staff, supplies, and equipment needs.
  • Maintaining “Tour Ready” clean and safe work area and securing building/operations at end of shift.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ experience within the Distribution industry
  • Fourth Shift proficient user
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Forklift motor certified or the ability to become certified
  • Being able to work independently
  • Be a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have exceptional decision-making abilities
  • Must be accurate and have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and motivational capabilities
  • Effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines
  • Efficiently coordinate tasks with internal and external employees of the company
  • Promote an environment conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness.
  • Must pass the required job protocol physical test as administered by Apex Physical Therapy

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, stoop, lift and perform manual dexterity.
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation during normal business hours designated for the position.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to operate related material handling and skid wrapping equipment.

Training:

  • Up to 2 to 4 weeks on the job training
